Updates and lifetime policy
What you pay for, what happens after 12 months, and what never changes.
Pro
- You get 12 months of updates from the day you buy.
- After 12 months, the last version you received keeps working forever. We do not turn it off or ask you to pay to keep using it.
- Newer versions need a renewal. Renewing is optional and only extends your update period.
- Older versions stay available on the Older versions page.
- Your license works offline. We never need to contact your Mac.
How to read this
Each build records the date it was released. A license unlocks a build when that date falls inside your update period. Older builds stay unlocked for good. A newer build starts in the Free tier and tells you how to renew.
App Store edition
- The unlock is a one-time purchase and includes updates to the current major version.
- A future major version would be a new purchase, because the Mac App Store has no upgrade pricing. We will say so in the listing.
